ximenSo yesterday was quite fun, despite the cat waking me up before 6 in the morning and my inability to return to sleep. I got a nap in, so it was okay. And then I woke up from my nap, and did some cooking, and went to the Japanese class cooking party, and then to D&D, and then I came back to find my apartment broken into. So far, the things I noticed missing are:
Erika-chan's computer (minus the side-panels)
the anime club DVD player
my backpack
my alarm clock (borrowed from Sushu, actually)
all my silver jewelry
Pot pie (the cat)
All in all, not too bad as these things go. I'm pretty sure they didn't actually steal Pots, so with any luck she'll turn up today. I hope so- she's thin and it's cold outside. Erika-chan's computer was the worst loss, and I'm really mad about my jewelry, which was mostly presents from people and had lots of sentimental value. They dumped all the stuff out of my backpack to make room for the things they stole, so I still have my binder and my sketchbook and my notes and even Usagi-san, though all of his spare change (over ten dollars worth!) was stolen. Lost all of my pens and pencils, though, and the little book neechan gave me that had all of her love advice scribbled in it.
Overall, it could be worse, but I wish this hadn't happened during finals week, or at all, really. Plus, I'm sick. Blah. Oh well, things could always be worse. Isaac and Sushu came and played cards and kept me company while I waited for the detective, even though they had both gone to bed before I called them, and the detective didn't come until nearly three. It's good to have friends.
