I just got back from the anime club Evangelion marathon. Why, sane people may ask, is there such a thing, and why was I there? Well, waaaaay back, early last quarter, I was fulfilling my duties as acquisitions officer by downloading Eva. Yes, it's licensed, has been for years now, and of course with Lena-chan being such an Anno fan, we're sure to buy it eventually, but it was online, and I had bandwidth to spare, so I downloaded it. When it was all downloaded and burned, I suggested to Sushu and Isaac and Lena-chan that we watch it, maybe even as a marathon together some weekend. I forgot that Sushu is actually a dedicated secretary, and wants to make anime club something social and fun. So the next thing I know, the whole DVD set has been borrowed (so my downloads never did get used) and Aza's apartment, complete with projector, has been taken over by a bunch of anime fans armed with chips, baked goods, soda, and of course orange jello. And now I have seen all of Evangelion twice, which should be enough to last me the rest of my life.

There has been other stuff going on, too, but I don't feel like talking about it, and would rather sleep. Midterm on Wednesday, and catch-up reading for Tuesday's soc. Thank goodness tomorrow is a holiday.

It occurred to me while getting various haiku from this form that most of my LJs are about either club stuff, or food, or classes, or quizzes, or whatever else I happen to have been up to. No poems, or stories, or links, and very little angst, compared to whatever's actually been happening. I wonder, if I were to read this LJ as a stranger, if I would think that the poster had an easy life, or just wonder why she kept whining about trivial things.

Oh well. I'd like her icons, either way.

Speaking of whining about trivial matters, my stomach hurts. No more Eva for me, I think. But I did have fun.
