Nov. 1st, 2003 05:55 pmMonday through Thursday were pretty miserable, but the past two days have made up for the rest of the week. Actually, Wednesday wasn't bad either. I had to give my speech in Japanese, but then there was anime club, and I really like the anime club people, so that was fun. But today and yesterday have both been great. Yesterday I got to go to Chinatown with Isaac and Julian, which meant bubble tea. I was too full to buy any candy there, but Julian got cola gummies, and Isaac got his usual squid jerky. Then I passed out around midnight, which meant I had enough sleep to enjoy today, when Jeremy, Catherine, Sushu, Isaac and I (all anime club people) went thrift store shopping. I got a pair of pants with lots of pockets, though I need to sew a button on. In the middle of thrift store shopping we found Ed's Potstickers, which had remarkably good dumplings, especially since it was in a rather bad neighborhood. Sushu, who's Mandarin/English bilingual, ordered all sorts of tasty stuff for us, so I am now completely full and thus quite sleepy. I love dumplings. It's really cool to have new people to hang out with. I was worried at the beginning of this year, because Isaac Julian and Lena-chan will all be gone next year and I thought I'd end up being by myself. So spending time with really cool and nice people who won't be graduating this year makes me feel much better about next year.
On an unrelated but equally cool note, I ran into a girl from Paideia on campus yesterday. It made me feel slightly less alone. It was almost as good as running into a Horizons graduate would have been.
And now, a little more being lazy, and then I must go grocery shopping, for my roommates have decided that the baking project of the week should be pumpkin chocolate muffins. So there's that.
