my mouth tastes like mercury...
Sep. 11th, 2003 12:06 amOver seven years of not visiting the dentist (money, I think) means I have acquired many cavities. But that's okay, because all six that needed filling got filled today. Of course, this meant I had to have my teeth drilled without novacaine, but it's over now. It was worth it.
Since I'm leaving Friday, Max is spending the night here tonight so we can have brother-sister bonding. And so my dad can take his one last chance at free baby-sitting. My poor dad has gone from being the non-custodial parent in another state to the only parent in this state, so I don't really begrudge him. I promised Max we'd cook whatever thing he wanted that didn't require a stove (the gas bill hasn't been paid for a while) and he asked for chocolate. So if anyone wants some frozen chocolate mousse cake, stop by tomorrow evening. Even if you don't want a slice, stop by. I'm leaving Friday, after all.
I will miss Atlanta. I've been taking lots of walks to commit the city to memory. But I also miss Chicago, and it will be good to see it again. So it's okay.
